The Dream of a Ridiculous Man

A fantastic story by Dostoevsky
Pilot performances 9th – 11th May 2025
At the Master Shipwright’s House, Deptford

Overwhelmed by philosophical thoughts and a conviction that nothing in the world makes any difference to him The Ridiculous Man sets the scene for his suicide. On fatal night a little girl who begs him for help causes him to hesitate and he sinks into a life-changing dream.

In an altered state he’s taken on a flight through the universe and alights on a replica of earth in all its beauty and fragility. He lives through paradise and hell and awakens as a new man, no longer led by his rational thinking but by his heart and intuitive self.

Further performances to follow. Expect a highly emotional roller-coaster with tragic-comic twists and turns in this tour de force.
